Qu-con offers star-kz zero leak high temp globe/gate valves for very hot hydrocarbon/thermic oil applications for use up to 385°c in sizes from 12 to 300 mm in pressure class #150 and #300. They are mainly cast carbon wcb valves in leakage class v as per customer requirement. The kz zero leak technology was brought and implemented in india in 1994 by developing zero stem leak globe valves with an american support. Kz zero leak high temp valves incorporate special design feature and metallurgy to counter differential thermal expansion, softening of seat, reduction in compressive strength, erosion, galling, flaking and other problems associated with very high temperature media handling. The gland leakage associated at such high temperature is taken care of by using kz-2, a unique reusable self-moulding self lubricated universal gland packing which is capable of handling hot media in excess of 550°c. This gland packing can expand radially to any extent and do not set or harden at elevated temperature. The packing is self lubricated and do not need mother liquid for its lubrication, hence kz-2 gland packing can truly give zero leakage through gland even at high temperature.
